Wiring Diagram For 3 Wire Alternator

Reading the previous thread on hook ups, and looking at the back of the Alternator straight on, I hooked the Large Red wire to the B+ at the 9:00 position; the brown ground wire to the lug at the 3:00 position: the blue wire from the wiring harness to the lug at the 6:00 position; and the black wire with the spade connector I just taped off.. I would use a wiring diagram to determine the wire size. There also might be a repair kit available. As far as fiberglass, I would replace the shroud with new.
