I have a Quick Antares AT 1012 D anchor windlass, and as for as I know, its never been serviced. Any links or tips to how I might go about this task would be great. Thanks. 25 Jun 2018 #2 L.. The main service point will be the gearbox which is simply bolted to the shaft assembly, there may also be some sort of bayonet fitting to hold the 2.. The windlass draws lots of power so running the engines is a good idea and you would look very foolish if you lifted the anchor and then the engine would not start If you have foot switches at the windlass - maybe you have a switch also at the helm - though I suspect it might be protected by the same small fuse. But you could try it.
Quick technical support identifies mine as the Antares model, 1000 watt, 12 volts. It has been discontinued. If I have to replace the Antares, Quick says the Aleph model fits the same basic footprint with little modification. Quick has no authorized service centers in the U.S., they tell me..
