The flame sensor is connected to the single white/red wire that's on the opposite side of the manifold entrance. A single 1/4" screw holds it in place. Make sure you twist the sensor 90° clockwise so it comes out from the plate easier. Make sure not to pinch any of the wires when putting the burner box cover back on.. If I recall taking that plate off will just give you access to the burners themselves, not really the flame sensor so the burners shoot into holes or a "chamber" and that is where the flame sensor resides, right in front of them. The problem with that is cleaning a flame sensor in place is pretty difficult.. especially on that furnace.
Access the Flame Sensor; Remove the access panel for your furnace, usually secured with screws. Locate the Flame Sensor; Identify the flame sensor adjacent to the burner assembly, typically a thin metal rod. Remove the Old Flame Sensor; Unscrew and disconnect any wires attached to the sensor. Gently pull the sensor out. Install the New Flame Sensor.
