Still you can use safari to watch at 1080p but still it is forcing you to a single browser.. If you are on mac, unfortunately, disney is being stubborn there is no app to either watch or download.
It seems that disney finally released an actual windows app for disney+.. Reddit is better for getting info from people who are using the service now.
